Skip permits
A skip permit is required if you wish to place your skip on public property. Be aware that if you opt to place your skip on public property, you may be required to use reflective equipment, lights or traffic cones to make the skip visible to road users or pedestrians.

Location and access
Location and access are two factors to consider when choosing whether to place your skip on public or private grounds.
The skip must not impede entrances and exits. That includes access to your own premises as well as your neighbours’. It must also not block any fire exits.
You must also consider whether your grounds are durable enough to withstand the weight of our lorries.
